I am happy to announce, after two years of developing and testing, Family-Mingle launches our first formal beta version. From now on, we will post on a regular basis about our developments and plans for the future.
Thanks to all of our members for contributing with requests and bug reports.

It's funny and even a little embarrassing, but I usually considered my family as a grouped well connected family, you see as children, me and my cousins got together at least once every month, the family connection was great and I cherish those times.
I guess it's only normal that as the years went by the connection has weakened. But we all didn't realize how bad it became until …
A year ago a cousin of mine went to a pub with some friends, and saw a beautiful woman staring at him the whole evening, he gathered the needed guts, and made a pass on her. What he didn't realize was that the beautiful woman was my sister his cousin as well. My sister played along for a while but he still didn't recognize her, so finally she asked him "Joe, don't you recognize me, it's me Marry I'm your cousin"…
Well from here to there my beloved grandfather heard about the incident, got very angry, and beside the gatherings we make from than at least twice a year, he came up with the idea of a family site, so we all can stay in touch in a better way.
Thus the idea of Family Mingle was born.
For anyone that is new in Mingle, or hasn’t yet fully explored us, here's a short description about us, about mingle, and what you can do in Mingle:

Mingle is private, only your relatives can view your profile and the family tree.
The Family Tree is the foundation of every family, a great way to explore and learn a little bit about your family.
on the up right corner of a person node.
Simply click the 
sign on existing family member, and choose which relative you wish to add, fill their name, gender, email and other info.
The more joined relatives you have, the more interesting your mingle experience will be!!!
Members can join your tree only if you invite them, by filling their email addresses.
The family profiles is your way to learn a little more about your family members, to know what are their hobbies, to view their latest picture albums, and write them messages. You will be surprised to find out things you didn't know about your family.
Simply click a person in the tree and his profile will show:
The Family Message Board is the easiest and fastest way to post a message to your extended family.
In the board you can share pictures, notes and interesting links.
Simply write your note, select recipients by clicking relatives on their nodes in the tree, and it’s done!!!
With the Inbox you can write private messages to one or more of your relatives.
The messages are grouped as threads so you can use the Inbox not only as a simple message but as a way to build blog conversations with your relatives.
The Family Calendar helps you remember important dates such as birthdays anniversaries and family events.
Family Mingle is the best way to share pictures with people that are important to you.
Every member in the family can easily create new picture albums of their special moments and share them with family and friends.
Pictures are organized in albums, each relative has a default album: "Best Pics" where he can put all his best pictures from birth till today.
The Slideshow is a great tool to view full size pictures, add comments and tag people in the pictures.
Events are the way to spend good time with your relatives and friends: picnics, birthday parties, holidays, weddings ….
From now you can schedule events and invite your family and friends easily through Family-Mingle!
